Who are at Breast cancer risk?

- All women are at risk; especially, women older than 55 years old;

- Women who have family members with Breast Cancer;

- Women with hormonal disorders and endocrine diseases (goiter, hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, diabetes mellitus type I), obesity and liver diseases;

- Women who did not have children and who had abortions;

- Women cancelling of breastfeeding;

- Women with early menarche (periods started before 12 years old) and/or late menopause (after 55 years old);

- Women with some benign breast conditions;

- Women with uterine or ovarian masses;

- Women after breast injury or after cosmetic breast surgeries (ex., breast implants).

These women have to visit Breast Disease specialist regularly for breast check-up (physical examination, ultrasonography, mammography).

Breast Cancer can usually be cured if it was detected early!
