🌺 All ladies BEFORE planning for pregnancy have to do some health examinations.
ℹ️ One of them is the diagnosis and assessment of breasts' health (physical breasts' examination and breast US).
ℹ️ Breast US is a safe, non-invasive and painless procedure, which allows doctors to see the structure and condition of breasts, to find or exclude cysts or tumors. It is important to:
✔️ ensure mother's health, because some of breast's diseases can affect the ability to breastfeed,
✔️ identify potential breastfeeding-related problems and provide advices and recommendations how to improve breasts' health.
✔️provide early detection of breast cancer. It allows to begin treatment at an early stage of the disease, which increases the chances of a full recovery.
❗️Breast US is mandatory before IVF.
A breast is a hormone-dependent organ. If a woman has a breast mass (tumor), ovarian stimulation can increase risk of intensive tumor growth. Therefore, the main goal of breast US before IVF is to exclude contraindications to this procedure before entering the IVF protocol.
ℹ️ Breast US has to be done on the 5-12th days of the menstrual cycle.
