Moles / Pigmented nevi are very common and NOT all moles are cancerous.
ℹ️ To help you identify characteristics of unusual moles that may indicate melanomas or other skin cancers, think of the letters A-B-C-D-E:

🔴 A - Asymmetrical shape: look out for moles with irregular shapes, example with two different-looking halves.
🔴 B - Border: look out for moles with irregular, notched or scalloped borders.

🔴 C - Color: look for moles those are very dark or have an uneven distribution of color.
🔴 D - Diameter: beware of large moles, especially those that measure more than 5 mm.

🔴 E - Evolution: look for evolving changes to the mole over time.
Ex., a mole that grows in size or changes in color or shape, or starts to ulcerate and bleed.
❗️ If you have found unusual mole / nevus or these signs, do not wait.
