Dear patients, , when you go to a laboratory, remember few basic rules:

1️⃣ We should perform tests in the morning (between 7:00 and 10:00). Tests in dynamic should always be performed at the same time.

But in an urgent case blood may be taken any time.

2️⃣ We should perform tests on an empty stomach: the state after 10-12 hours not eating meals. Refrain from drinking coffee, tea or chewing gum. Avoid sudden changes in diet!

Only a small amount of non-carbonated water can be drunk before the test.

3️⃣ Some medicines should be discontinued ❌ Ask your doctor about it!

4️⃣ Avoid ❌ any intense physical exercises the day before a test.

5️⃣ The day before the test you should avoid ❌ alcohol consumption and other stimulants. On the day of the study it is recommended to stop ❌smoking at least 1 hr before blood sampling.

6️⃣ Before giving blood, patients should relax in a seated position (about 15 min) and avoid stress.

7️⃣ Collection of blood for female / male hormones should take place on the relevant days of the monthly cycle. Ask your doctor about it.

8️⃣ Samples of urine, faeces etc should be collected according to the instructions of the physician / laboratory to specially prepared disposable containers.

9️⃣ Samples for microbiological and mycological tests should only be taken using sterile containers and delivered to the laboratory as soon as possible after being collected (approx 1 hr).

🔟 Containers with samples of urine, faeces etc should be signed with the first and last name of the person from whom they were collected, age and the time of collection.

Please, follow these rules, when you plan to go to Laboratory, and share them to your relatives and friends
