Some ladies in the middle age / before menopause start š hormone replacement therapy (HRT, menopausal hormone therapy) themselves to Ā«look betterĀ», delay menopause and to prevent / reduce hot flashes, because they heard from relatives or friends that Ā«hormones were helpfulĀ».
ā If you donāt understand, what is it HRT and it's side effects and if you donāt know your body, you should NOT get Ā«hormonesĀ» on your own, because Ā«somethingĀ» that your friend advised / worked for her, will NOT work for you the same.
ā¹ļø HRT works ONLY after consultation with a GOOD doctor - ObGyn specialist š©š»āāļø
š©š»āāļø The good doctor, before prescribing HRT, will ask you, example:
āļø about previous coagulation tests (blood clotting),
āļø about your liver problems, if any,
āļø about your breastsā health
and some other questions about your health condition.
And, of course, the doctor will prescribe you āļø a list of blood tests and āļøother examinations to be sure, that you do not have contraindications for HRT.
āļøOnly after that the doctor will select for you the therapy or will give you other recommendations, if HRT is not possible for you.
If a doctor does not ask you anything before HRT, does not examine you, does not prescribe blood tests / ultrasonography / mammography etc., run away šš»āāļøāā”ļø and change the doctor!
ā¤ļøPlease, take care of your health.
